We've been getting out for a few short walks with Mary. She does great in the stroller. And by "great", I mean "falls right asleep"!

I think the NBA believes that Mary might be a future WNBA star, because they sent Mary some pretty freakin cute Christmas/birth gifts.

Actually, Andy works on the NBA account at his agency (I put up some of their commercials below), so these aren't recruitment bribes but instead just some really thoughtful presents from the nice people Andy works with at the NBA.

Giving Thanks

I just wanted to send out a quick Thank YOU!!!!!!  into my little blogosphere for the outpouring of love we have received since this Plum became a baby mama.  The doorbell has ceased to stop ringing as the mailman unloads boxes of goodies for little Mary.  She is one lucky gal.

Thanks for tuning in to ye ol' blog that has definitely transitioned into a family/baby blog.  Hope nobody minds.  I'm thinking its a permanent change.  I love love love reading your comments and it makes writing and posting pics much easier knowing just who is tuning in each day.   I also wanted to send an extra special thanks packed with warm and fuzzy tears to my parents.  They spent the past two weeks with us taking care of me and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.  Going into the child birth process, I never expected it to turn out as it did.  Thank God Mary is healthy and at home with us, but I am not sure what I would have done without my Mom and Dad here to nurse me back to health after the surgery.  I am so thankful to have such wonderful parents.  You both are my best friends and I can't be more grateful to have you in my life.  Mary is so lucky to have such wonderful Grandparents who love her so much.   Miss you like the dickens.

I am feeling much better.  Starting tomorrow I am going to wean myself off the pain meds, and the color is starting to come back into my face.  My energy is returning more and more with each passing day and breastfeeding is going great.  Mary can latch like a champ!  She is getting little chipmunk cheeks and working on a solid double chin.

Hope everyone is done shopping for Christmas and is relaxing for at least a few days off work.  We will keep posting over the holiday so keep tuning in.  A's parents are heading out on the 29th and we can't freagin wait until their arrival.
