Well, I would say that Nigel passed his nutty removal procedure without complication. However, I would not say that he did it with flying colors. A arrived at the pet hospital on Friday morning to a weeping pup that had been fashioned with a lampshade round his neck. They say its to prevent them from lickin' at their stitches. I say it's to keep them from knowing what really went on "down there". A says Nige proceeded to cry "real tears" all day until he finally exhausted himself and phwumped down on the couch in obvious defeat. Later that night, I returned home from work to find Nigel whimpering on the couch, his face soaked in tears. After a few more hours of the sniffles and moaning, A and I decided that the lampshade had to go. It just wasn't happening for a Nige. So off it came and he transformed back into his old self within minutes. We have been watching him like a hawk for the past few days. But, his stitches are healing and he seems unchanged since his castration. Poor little guy.
Oh, and they want me to make an appointment for Nige to come and have his stitches removed. I am sure they'll charge like fitty bucks for that too. So, I am going to try and convince them to let me take them out myself. I took A's sister E's out when she was here after she bumped her noggin in Tahoe. And, not to mention I am a bona fide ER nurse and I take out the durn things every day on real human bein's. We'll just have to see I guess.
In other news, I am flying back East on April 28th!!! Woo hoo. I wasn't given my share of hours in the ER the first week of May, so instead of saving money, I am opting to fly home. I haven't seen my two sets of rents since Christmas and I am DYING to see Schmandrea and her little human. So, my plan is a few days in Yorktown, Richmond and then D.C. and then back to the Wil' West. A and Nige will just have to hold down the fort while I am gone.
Speaking of A. He is traveling like a Mo Fo in May. I think he is gone for half of the month traveling to Germany and then Japan or Japan and then Germany...with a brief stent in London. 1/2 a month. Damn Shitey. What's a girl to do all by her lonesome. I guess I'll just work and shop with McFee. At that point she will be out here for the summer, so we can wreak some havoc and devastation.
While on the subject of Mcfee, I'd like to say that I am super excited for you to come out here. I seem to keep pretty busy on my own, but it will be so nice to have an ol' school friend in the midst. I am making friends here, but it takes time. I can't just show my freak flag right off the bat, or they will all run hither and nither. So, I am comforted knowing that my flag doesn't bother you and we can just tool around this great city for a few months, no probs.
One more thing. I want to thank all of my peeps who have made plans to come and visit A, Nigel and myself this summer.
Shane and Darlene
SusieQ and Daddy G
Mama and Papa Plum
Young (maybe if I decide to mark him of my @#$%^&* list)
For those of you who have already visited, we loved having you and want you to come back soon. Also for those of you who want to come (Schmick, Jules...hello) you know you are always welcome.
